Admin currently removes players periodically who don’t play but it would be good if this is set to be done automatically on a periodic basis to comply with retention of personal data under GDPR.

Thanks Raul, and sorry for the delay in responding. This is an important point that we'll need to action soon.
Squad admins can only remove (or pause) a member, but this doesn't actually delete the user's data from Squaddle's servers (it just removes them as a member of that squad). As we come out of beta we'll update our privacy policy so that the data retention period is clear (rather than relying on users to contact us, which is the current wording) and then actually delete the inactive user data.
We'll probably go with a retention period of three years, and there will need to be an exception for any users that still have an outstanding payment owing.
We'll also make sure that we inform squad owners when inactive users are purged so that they know what's going on (this will also help with the GDPR compliance of Squaddle business users, though this doesn't apply to most squad owners).
